Give Kids A Chance is offering scholarship grants in the amount of $1,250 to high school seniors planning to attend college. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must have the following criteria:
• Be a graduating senior from a public high school.
• Be a Florida resident.
• Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
• Must document financial need. Eligible students must have a family income that is less than 60% of the median family income of the area in which they reside.
• Demonstrate an interest in pursuing higher education.
• Show involvement in school or community activities.
• Two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers or other community representatives.
Award recipients are invited to re-apply each year they remain in college. As long as the following criteria is met:
• Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale.)
• Have been in college no more than four years.
Key Dates:
Application Deadline: March 15, 2026 - Last day for applications to be submitted for review.
Notification: April 22, 2026 (approximately) - The Miami Foundation will mail award notifications to the student and high school to make arrangements for the issuance of your award.
